A CALL has gone out to leaders at all levels in Nigeria to earnestly commit themselves to actions that could bring about accelerated all-round national development and unity among the people.
Publisher of the Nigerian Role Models, Dr. Luke Okojie, made the call during the conferment of African Leader Par Excellence and Accolade Ambassadors Hall of Fame awards on the Executive Chairman of Lee Engineering & Construction Co. Limited, Chief (Dr) Leemon A. Ikpea, and the Chairman of Eagle Paints Limited, Chief (Dr) T. A. Disu respectively at the 10th anniversary of Accolade Communication Limited in Abuja recently.
Speaking at the event which coincided with the launch and unveiling of Nigeria Role Models: A Compendium of Distinguished Nigerians, Dr. Okojie emphasised that the task of taking Nigeria out of the woods and launching her into a pedestal which every citizen would be proud of, rests essentially with the leaders.
The occasion was witnessed by the former deputy governor of Plateau State, Dame Pauline Tallen (OFR), General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Kayode Olukoya; former First Lady of Bauchi State, Dr. Abiodun Isa Yuguda, Prof. Chijioke Nwaozuzu and a host of other Accolade Ambassadors.
Commenting on the awardees, Dr. Okojie said they were inspiring, motivating personalities who have become beacons of hope for a better tomorrow.
“The idea is to celebrate and publicly acknowledge these African men and women as pride of the African continent as well as document their efforts in order to encourage upcoming generations on the path to true leadership and prosperity,” he added.
