Lagos—The lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Oghene Egoh has distributed empowerment items to residents in his constituency, to cushion the effect of the present harsh economy.
He also gave out free eye glasses to address the sight challenges of residents.
Egoh, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, explained that the beneficiaries were taught some basic skills and tips on small scale businesses, such as small scale entrepreneur, catering and so on.
According to him, free medical check-up was also conducted and free eyes glasses given to beneficiaries at the empowerment programme tagged “Mega empowerment and Small entrepreneurship programme.”
Egoh noted that the programme was part of his efforts to give back to the people of Amuwo Odofin for their support when he contested as Councillor and now member of the House of Representatives; saying “the people of Amuwo Odofin has been supportive to me.”
