Nigerian literary icon and renowned poet, Professor JP Clark-Bekederemo, has unveiled his latest anthology of poems, Remains of  a Tide, published by Mosuro Publishers, at the JP Clark Centre, University of Lagos. The book presentation had in attendance Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka and his wife Folake, foremost Nigerian poet, playwright and Professor Emeritus, Femi Osofisan, veteran broadcaster, Julie Coker, ace sports commentator and former President of Nigeria Tennis Federation, Chuka Momoh, CEO of Honicomb Nigeria Limited, Dr Titus Okereke.

Other guests included Chief Oscar Ibru, Chief Jerome Coker, Dr Patrick Okoko, Col. D.J. Bamije (retd), O. Mac Emakpore, Chief Godwin Adokpaye and Tony Echiejina, representatives of the Lagos Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA, led by the Secretary, Yemi Adebiyi .

The Head of English Department, Unilag, Dr Hope Eghagha, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, described the octogenarian as “A literary icon, whose legacies as a distinguished scholar in the Department of English, we try to continue.”
