ASABA—The Delta State commissioner for transport, Mr Vincent Uduaghan has been honoured by Independent newspaper as the most outstanding and performing transport commissioner of the year in the south south region of the country.
Uduaghan, in his remarks, while receiving the award, thanked the staff and management of the newspaper for the award, while noting that his ministry will collaborate with relevant sectors to ensure that the roads are accident-free for travellers during the yuletide season.
The commissioner also commended the effort of Governors Ifeanyi Okowa and Willie Obiano of Delta and Anambra states respectively for meeting with the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Olayemi Boboye, toward ensuring free movement of traffic especially on and around the Niger Bridge.
“Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s giant strides in all sectors in the state has earned me this recognition,” he added.
