The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Port-Harcourt, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has promised to train some of the Nigerians that were deported from Libya at no cost to the Federal Government.
Chinyere, who spoke with newsmen in a telephone interview on Tuesday, restated the vision of his ministry which is passion for the overall well being of people.
“In the last nine years, the OPM has assisted hundreds of people, especially ex-militants, former commercial sex workers, orphans and many others to resettle to normal life”.
“We have set up centres that train people in ICT, pipeline welding, carpentry, mechanics, scaffold making and shoe making (cobbler), among others.”
He said if government would partner with the ministry, it was ready to make its humble contributions to national development.
Chinyere said that in carrying out these social and spiritual responsibilities, the church depended solely on offerings and tithes from its members.
He further stated that the vision of the ministry was anchored on Matthew 25:35, which says, “I was hungry, you fed me; I was naked, you clothed me”.
He said true religion was to care for the less privileged and that the spirituality of a nation can be measured in the way it helped the less privileged.
