As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, LG Electronics, has donated units of new Gencool Inverter Air Conditioners, Jet Cool Air Conditioners as well as treated mosquito nets to Kuje General Hospital.

The brand has received accolades from Nigerian consumers over the years, for having their interest at heart in the development of cutting edge technological products, embarked on this gesture in order to enhance health care delivery services in Nigeria.

The donated items are expected to meet the needs of the health institution in their mission to provide people in the community with excellent health care services.

Speaking at the formal presentation of the items, Head, Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics West Africa Operations Mr. Hari Krishna Elluru said: “We have remained competitive while improving sustainability; we have enabled investment and innovation required to deploy new technologies and to safely and responsibly develop progressive products.”

He said: “We belief that the Air Conditioning units as well as the other items we are donating today will improve the service delivery in the hospital and provide the enabling environment for the medical personnel.”

Also speaking, the Manager, Fouani Nigeria Ltd, Abuja branch, Mr. Morhaf Ghazaly noted that the visit which was part of LG Electronics’ CSR activities was aimed at reaching out to health institutions in the country.

“It is my firm belief that the items we are donating today will go a long way to empower this health facility as well as the people of this community in their quest to enjoy sound health by empowering the hospital staff to do their jobs more efficiently”.

Responding on behalf of the hospital Management, the Head of Clinical Services Dr. Musa Ishaku, commended LG Electronics for the kind gesture. “We are proud to be the recipients of these distinctively designed Air Conditioning units and the treated mosquito nets. We appreciate LG Electronics’ generosity and good will to our hospital, which is clearly demonstrated by this donation.”

Ishaku called on other corporate organizations and public spirited individuals to emulate LG in responding to the needs of health institutions.

“By donating these innovative electronic products, LG Electronics through this event has shown itself to be a brand that truly believes in the health sector. The donation of the Air Conditioners to the hospital was done at the right time considering the ongoing renovation exercise being going on in the hospital.”

It could be recalled that over the years, the company has been committed in its CSR activities and have donated to health facilities such as Orimedu Community Health Centre in Epe, Lagos state, Idi-Ayunre Community Health Centre, in Ibadan, CSR visit to Agodo Health Center in Lagos, donation of Engineering design lab to the faculty of Engineering University of Lagos among others.
