abuja—FORMER staff of the defunct Nigeria Airways, will tomorrow storm the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, to protest continued delay in the release of N45billion approved by the Federal Executive Council, FEC, for the payment of their benefits.

According to Sam Nzene, one of the leaders of ex-workers, members especially those from the North should arrive Abuja today ahead of the peaceful protest tomorrow over the unpaid entitlements.

It was gathered that the ex-workers are concerned that ahead of yuletide, there is no indication when the money approved by FEC in September would be paid.

It will be recalled that the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, had, at the end of the FEC meeting three weeks ago assured the workers that the money would be paid before Christmas.

But  the former staff are apprehensive that there is no sign yet that they will be paid before  the Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, hence they resolved to prtest to draw government attention to their plight.
