EGCDF doles out N39m medical equipment for Oporoza, Tsekelewu hospitals

Egbema and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF, has purchased medical equipment worth about N39 million for Oporoza and Tsekelewu cottage hospitals.

Speaking during the distribution of the equipment to the hospitals, Chairman of EGCDF, Mr  Jude Ukori, said that the equipment were purchased by EGCDF with the sponsorship of Chevron Nigeria Limited, for about N39 million for speedy take off of both hospitals.

He said that the equipment include patients’ beds, computers, power generating sets, office furniture, diagnostic ultrasound equipment, stress systems, surgical lights, sterilizers, patient monitors, defibrillators, anesthesia machines among other valuable medical equipment, were supplied to Oporoza and Tsekelewu cottage hospitals.

Ukori said: “Having purchased these medical equipment, we urge the Delta State Government not to renege on its promise to take over the running of the hospitals for the benefit of the people.”
