CHAIRMAN of the PDP in Ethiope East, Felix Erhimedafe has, however, dismissed as inconsequential the presence of Chief Great Ogboru in the APC saying the serial governorship candidate is not even a threat to the PDP in his base in Ethiope East.
Expressing confidence that neither the APC nor the political clout of Chief Ogboru would deter the success of his party come January 6, Erhimedafe mocked the APC as a party with various “factions” stressing that the turnout of persons at the PDP rallies in different parts of the state is a pointer to the fact that PDP is more on ground than other political parties in the state.
He said: “Ogboru is a person while APC is a party with a gathering of confused people.
As you must have seen, we have taken our campaigns to the nook and cranny of Delta State, and the people are saying that it is only PDP that can give them the desired development they crave for because the APC has failed them right from the national level to the bottom.
“There is no way the APC can win any election in Delta State. To compound matters more on their state of confusion, they have up to five factions in Delta State alone, and a house that is divided cannot stand not to talk of winning elections.
“So I am sure of victory for the PDP in not only Ethiope East but Delta State in general for all the chairmanship and councillorship positions. PDP is accepted by the people in the state.”
