Dr. Emmanuel Ufuohpu-Biri
Dr. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, the subsisting Head of Mass Communication Department, Delta State University, Abraka, has emerged as the National President of Delta State University Alumni Association.
He is to pilot the affairs of the association alongside other worthy alumni of DELSU such as Lucky Eziken – first Vice President, Dr. Festus Omosor – second Vice President, Wisdom Ekuruemu – National Secretary, Azino Akpokurere – National Financial Secretary, Iduvwe Osagie – Assistant Secretary – Akpoveta Emmanuel, Social Director and Okogbe Obagware – PRO.
Others are Emojoroh Eugene – Financial Secretary, Henry Yisah – Assistant Financial Secretary, Collins Nwaokobia Ifeanyi – Provost, Adegor Omonigho Veronica – Assistant PRO, Iyayi Osa Iguehide – Legal Adviser and Omajuwa Julius – Assistant Legal Adviser.
Dr. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, an accomplished media scholar, holds a certificate in Television Production from the Nigeria Television Authority; certificate in Digital Humanities from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, USA; Diploma and Advance Diploma in Journalism from the prestigious Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos.
He also holds B.A. Mass Communication, Delta State University, Abraka; Masters Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations, DELSU, Abraka; M.A (Distinction) Mass Communication, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Ph.D in Communication Art, University of Ibadan.
Besides, the seasoned communication scholar is a Fellow and Alumnus of the prestigious American International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP), Washington DC and the distinguished Brown University International Advance Research Institute (BIARI), Providence, USA.
Among other numerous positions, Dr. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri was the Associate Dean of Students Affairs in DELSU and currently the Secretary of Academic Staff Union of University, DELSU Branch.
He is the unannounced mentor of many renowned and upcoming comedians in Nigeria and has inspired many people to greatness.
