A former Delta State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Olorogun Moses Odibo, and a former Transition Committee Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon. Raymond Edijala, are optimistic that Chief Jite Brown, the Peoples Democratic Party chairmanship candidate in Udu Local Government Area, will win the January 6, 2018 local government polls in the area.
Odibo and Edijala spoke during an enlarged meeting of Udu PDP Patriots, saying since the era of struggling for who to become the PDP chairmanship candidate in Udu was over, the ground was now wet for the Udu PDP Patriots to enlighten their members on the need to tell the electorate to vote Brown.
They stated that since Brown was the most acceptable candidate among the aspirants that jostled for the position during the primary election, the January 6 elections were as good as a done deal because of the acceptance of the PDP across the local government area.
“With the construction of Ovwian main road, the ongoing Udu Habour Market project, fencing of Aladja Primary School, approval of Ekete main road for construction and several other infrastructural projects initiated and completed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa across Udu Local Government Area, is a testimony that the PDP will never fail again in Udu”, they added.
