The Iyalode of Egbaland, Alaba Lawson, has commended  the choice of Otunba Gani Adams as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland.

Lawson, who is also the Iyalode of Yorubaland, in a congratulatory message to the Aare designate, said  she had no doubt in her mind that the Olokun Festival chief promoter will make the best use of his  new office and live up to expectations.

“I have the singular honour and greatest pleasure to congratulate you  on your well deserved nomination  by the Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Iku Baba Yeye, the Alaafin of Oyo Kingdom, as the next Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland”, she wrote.

“Your choice was not by happenstance, rather, it is an attestation to your sterling qualities and your contributions to the growth and development of Yorubaland. “I have no doubt in mind that you will make the best use of the office and live up to the expectations of our Imperial Majesty and the good people of Yoruba land”.

Meanwhile, the official installation of Otunba Gani Adams as the 15th  Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba Land has been fixed for the 13th of January 2018.
