The Police in Lagos, yesterday, disclosed that four men have been arrested over the death of a businessman, Mr. Emmanuel Ubah, a.k.a. Onwa, in Festac Town.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, said the arrest was made after a family member of the deceased petitioned the Police over the murder.
Onwa was murdered on July 21 at about 8p.m. at Festac Town.
The police boss gave the names of the suspects as Fashola, Tokosi, Adeleye and Onifade.
Edgal said the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, IRT, investigated the case after receiving the petition in August.
His words: “The petitioner, a pastor, alleged that on July 21, at about 8p.m., he received a phone call that the deceased had been murdered by some gunmen at Festac Town, Lagos and robbed of his three mobile phones.
“In the course of investigation, the I-G IRT were deployed to Festac Town and Iba Estate to unravel the mystery surrounding the murder, where all the suspects were arrested.
“One Beretta pistol with two rounds of live ammunition and one pump action gun, were recovered from them. All the suspects will be charged to court soon.”
