The 2017 edition of the annual Total Charity Golf tournament raised N1.m and more in pledges as the tournament came to end yesterday at the Ikoyi Golf Club, Lagos.
The tournament contested by amatuer golfers saw Olabode Mustapha chalking up 39 points to win the men’s net, while Rita Okafor got 32 points to win the ladies net. The men’s gross was won by Port Harcourt Golf club captain, Peter Eben Spiff with 32 points.
Speaking at the event Total Upstream Nigeria managing director and chief executive, Nicholas Terraz said his company was committed to sports development in Nigeria; a country with vast sports talents.
He added that Total and individual golf players appreciate the intrinsic value of giving to the less privileged. This year’s beneficiaries are Pacelli School for the Blind and Cancer Awareness Nigeria.
