Warri—As the selection process for the prestigious Ologbotsere (Prime Minister) of Warri Kingdom title rages, the Diare-Omasan Descendants´ Union central body, has accused the head (Olori-ebi) of the Ologbotsere Descendants, Pa Higson Oporokun, of bias against them by refusing to summon a meeting where the matter would be properly addressed.
The Diare-Omasan descendants, in a letter to Pa Oporokun by Pa G. K Boyo, Pa G.A. Buwa and Sir. E.K Gbragada, accused him of declining or refusing to call for the said meeting as directed by His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri, even after several delegations had met with him to intimate him of the need to summon the crucial meeting where other candidates would emerge.
However, Secretary General of the Ologbotsere family, Pa Anukun, denied speculation that they did not follow due process in their choice of preferred candidate, saying that it took them almost nine months to arrive at the choice of the two preferred candidates before forwarding same to the palace with the consent of all the family heads.
