Oghenekaro cautions Delta APC against alleged blackmail

By Victor Ahiuma-Young

THE Director–General of Okowa Legacy Group, OLG, Chief Omanefe Oghenekaro, has slammed the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State, over alleged falsehood, misinformation, propaganda and misrepresentation of facts aimed at inciting the people of the  state against the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led Administration.

Speaking at Igbodo, during the unveiling of the Okowa Legacy Group’s Economic Empowerment Programme for rural dwellers in Delta State, Chief Oghenekaro cautioned the APC against cheap blackmail, skewed reports, unfounded rumours and other acts inimical to peace and democratic norms.

He particularly criticized the photo shopping of failed portions of roads not constructed by the Okowa administration to deceive Deltans, insisting that no political party had monopoly of propaganda andindecent methods of achieving cheap political points.

The OLG DG maintained that Nigerians and indeed Deltans, were more politically conscious and wiser now than in 2015, saying the blame game, buck passing and general demonizing of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, must give way to objective, fair and critical assessment of the performance of the Okowa-led administration based on its electoral promises vis-à-vis the reality on ground.

In a good will message, founder of the group, Dr. Isioma Okobah, said the empowerment programme was designed to empower the economically weak and make them productive members of the society.
