Asaba—Former Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Ochei has described the death of the immediate past Chairman of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, Pa Johnson Oritsegubemi Ayomike, who passed on at the age of 90, as a great loss to the Itsekiri nation, Delta State and Nigeria.
Ochei, in a condolence message said “Late Pa Ayomike was an elder statesman, historian and Nationalist who was known for always advocating for a one united Nigeria.
According to the former speaker, “the late Pa Ayomike was a bridge builder who promoted harmonious relations between the Itsekiri nation and other ethnic nations.
“I commiserate with the Ayomike family and the Itsekiri nation on the demise of a prolific writer and custodian of history, Pa J.O.S. Ayomike.
“He will be remembered for his advocacy for a one united Nigeria.
“May God Almighty grant the family and the Itsekiri nation the fortitude to bear the loss” he added
