IT was a great sight to behold when hundreds of choristers and orchestra marched round the Sports ground of Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu in their shouting red colour uniform and great instruments declaring to the world that the Holy Ghost is upon them to preach the gospel to every nation.

They marched so strongly like the children of Israel marching round the wall of Jericho at the two days crusade organized by the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria.

Rev. Felix Meduoye

The purpose of the power packed crusade was to bring the light of God to the people of Ikorodu and also to draw people to salvation, healing and deliverance from all kinds of sins and sicknesses.

Ministering at the Ikorodu crusade with the theme: “God of great wonders”, the General Overseer of the mission, Rev. Felix Meduoye said the light of God must shine in the land.

“Despite the challenges facing Ikorodu and Nigeria as a whole, we are proud of the fact that we are still one undivided country,” he said, adding that there are Christians praying for this nation and no matter what happens, there is hope that Jesus Christ is coming back again.

He admonished Christ-ians to be a light anywhere they are. Light will surely overcome darkness, therefore Christians should endeavour to make them-selves light in this corrupt generation so that this light will continue to shine and darkness would not be able to comprehend it. “

Every attempt to stop corruption without the light would amount to futility unless people begin to accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour and then the light of Christ will begin to show in us, especially in our secular and spiritual lead-ers.

“We are praying for the light of God in Ikorodu and no matter what has happen-ed and is still happening the true knowledge of the real God would turn many to Him. Jesus Christ remains forever and as many that would look unto Him would have life everlasting,” he said.

Furthermore, Rev. Ikechukwu Ugbaja, the general secretary of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria admonished Nigerians not to give up, especially, in praying for the land.

He said that Nigeria is a project of God in progress and when we continue praying, God would inter-vene in the affairs of the nation and things would be better and God would bring the desired change. He advised the leaders to stand on the truth and also pray for the courage to do the right thing at the right time.

He concluded that no one should curse Nigeria nor say negative words against the land as things would get better soon.

At the crusade which involved all Foursquare churches in Ikorodu, Medu-oye prayed for the land and  encouraged others to go into the world and win more souls into the kingdom.

All sinners are spiritually sick and are in need of the great physician. Spiritual sickness does not require any material drug for its cure. Many sinners do not understand how their grievous sins can be written off. He said that through God’s grace, one can be free.
