ASABA—AHEAD of the Delta State Local Government elections slated for January 6, 2018, a chairmanship aspirant in Udu Local Government Area of the state, Chief Brown Jite, has promised to key into the SMART agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, if elected the council chairman.
Jite, who made the pledge at his official declaration for the council’s chairmanship race during a visit to the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Udu, Prince Sam Ughwujowhovwo and other PDP chieftains, said that the council needed a vibrant youth like him with potentials to move the council to a greater height.
Reiterating his resolve to offer the people of Udu genuine leadership that will be accountable to them, he said his administration will not “leave any group or gender behind.
“My administration will work to create opportunities for all and offer selfless service. As we proceed we will leave no one behind. We will create wealth and new jobs for our youths. We will ensure that Prosperity for all Deltans gets to all who reside in Udu LGA,” he said .
