Not less than ten entertainment headliners thronged the Garden City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, last Saturday on the train of the impressive Glo Mega Music Nationwide Concert, a flagship concert designed and sponsored by total telecommunications service provider, Globacom.
The accomplished entertainers included Katch, Di’ja, Omawumi, Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Phyno and Tuface Idibia; Uche Jombo and Juliet Ibrahim who compered the show; while Nollywood legends, Patience Ozokwor, a.k.a. Mama G, Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) and Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) attended as celebrity guests
Resourceful female disc jockey, DJ Nana, dished out danceable tunes from the juke box to set the audience in the mood for the evening of fun which was hosted at the Hub Event Centre at the Trans Amadi area of the flowery city.
New discovery in hip hop, Uche Ikachukwu, a.k.a. Katch opened the curtains and was followed by the music diva from the Marvin Records family, Hadiza Blell, known in the music industry as Di’Ja.
Glo brand ambassador and Na who I go ask crooner, Omawumi Megbele was next in line. She took the show to the next level with her well-choreographed band. She got enthralled by the spirit of music at some point and exhibited her excitement by rewarding one of her fans, Juliet Emubor, who danced to her Bonsue track with a pair of her brand new and expensive shoes to wild ovation from the crowd.
Talk to me, o’ Mama! singer, Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Phyno and Tuface were simply amazing as they sang their hearts out with the audience singing and dancing excitedly to tracks from their music idols.
As the show goes to Ikorodu, Lagos, this Saturday, Globacom has enjoined its subscribers who wish to attend the show to recharge to the tune of N2,000.
