The 23rd edition of Benin Ladies Open Golf Championship comes to an end today at the famous Benin Club golf course, GRA, Benin City.
The executive governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki and the First Lady officially declared the tournament open on Friday October 27.
Speaking on the progress of the championship Lady Captain, Deaconess Mabel Osazuwa expressed delight with the turn-out for the competition, adding that this year’s edition has been a success and an improvement on the earlier editions held so far in the club by her predecessors over the years.
About 230 golfers both men and ladies participated at the event.
Participating clubs include UBTH golf club, Ibori Country and Golf club, Asaba; Shell golf club, Warri, Port-Harcourt golf club, IBB, Ikoyi club, Ibadan, Jos, Enugu and Calabar.
