ENUGU—FLAG bearer of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Enugu North Local Government Area in Enugu State, Hon Emmanuel Onoh has pledged to harness the economic potentials of the area to improve the lives of his people if elected chairman.
Hon Onoh who made his plans known immediately after the LG primary elections in Enugu stated that Enugu North was very strategic as the business hub of the state and as such, he will make concerted efforts towards repositioning the economic lives of the people.

“My administration will not only give women in the area adequate recognition in the scheme of things, but will prosecute youth development programme to reduce poverty and social vices associated with idleness.
“I will make payment of worker’s salaries a priority to promote industrial harmony in the council. This is because, proper motivation of workers would enable them discharge their duties effectively.”
He further paid glowing tribute to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his wonderful performance, noting that the leadership style of the governor has led to rapid development in rural areas in the state.
In his reaction, the caretaker chairman of Enugu North Local Government, Hon. John Eze, described Hon Onoh as a grassroot politician whose philanthropic spirit is enviable.
He noted that members of the PDP in the local government are like one family, stressing that the peaceful conduct of the primary elections at ward and local government levels is a pointer to that fact.
