Enugu Assembly pledges stronger tie with Executive

Enugu State House of Assembly has pledged to work more closely with the executive arm to fast track development and political stability in the state. The House also said it will work even more closely with the Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi-led administration on policies that address unemployment and youth mobilization.

Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi made the pledge in a message to mark Nigeria’s 57th Independence anniversary.

Ubosi however called on the youths to be guided by positive thoughts and embrace skill acquisition to better their lots.

He commended the Enugu state government for her economic empowerment intervention programmes and charged the youths to explore the opportunities to advance their productivity.

He congratulated Governor Ugwuanyi on the Independence anniversary and urged him to remain focused in provision of infrastructure and social services in the state.

Ubosi said the House will to enact laws aimed at deepening democracy and good governance, and asked the people of the state not to relent on their support to the state government.
