Sapele—AHEAD of the Delta State local government election, His Royal Majesty, Orhue I, Orodje of Okpe, has charged aspirants for the chairmanship of Okpe Local Government council to be prepared to relocate to Orerokpe, headquarters of the local government area, after election.
The monarch who gave the charge at his palace in Orerokpe while receiving one of the chairmanship hopefuls, Chief Julius Scott, said the era where the council chairman lived outside the local government was over.
While praying for the aspirant on his ambition, the Orodje said, “any one who emerges as chairman is automatically a member of the royal house, and should not be seen far from the palace, hence, the call to relocate to the council headquarters.”
Responding, the chairmanship hopeful, said he had come to receive the royal blessings of his royal father to kick-start his campaign for a successful journey to the number one seat of the Okpe Local Government council.
