Globacom subscribers in Lokoja had a swell time last Sunday when the telecoms firm brought the funniest Nigerian comedians, Basketmouth, Bovi, Gordons, Dan D’Humorous, Senator and Bash to entertain them free of charge for over four hours.
Salvador from Uganda was also there to release unprecedented barrage of humour on the audience.
It was the second time in four weeks that Glo was holding a show in the otherwise sleepy city which hosts the confluence of the great rivers Niger and Benue. The first time it was with the star-studded Glo Mega Music Nationwide concert, but this time it was laughter all the way as the big data network hosted the popular Laffta Fest comedy show.
The comedy concert held at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja which had the hall, gallery and the entire stadium environment teeming with fun-lovers, including top government officials, captains of industries, top military officers, students and others.
The show also witnessed the attendance of Nigeria’s foremost artistes, namely, Kannywood’s star, Sani Danja and Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo.
When the show commenced, Bash took the stage to reel out funny tales of his formative years. He was followed by Senator who also gave a good account of himself.
Salvador from Uganda also got sweet feedback of laughter and ovation from the crowd after an initial tepid response, before yielding the stage to Dan D’Humorous who took the audience to a new dimension of humour.
Basketmouth, Gordons and Bovi closed the show with an overdose of the stuff that makes them the biggest comedy stars of our time.
From Lokoja, Glo Laffta Fest will land in Port Harcourt for the second time, before heading to Onitsha, Makurdi and Ajah in the weeks ahead.
