ABUJA – THE Pan Niger Delta Elders Forum, PANDEF, has arrived Presidential Villa to meet with the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

Among those in the entourage of PANDEF are the elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, former Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC. Senator Bassey Ewa Henshaw among others.

The meeting with the Acting President is to among other things address some of the issues surrounding Niger Delta as it concerns environmental degradation as a result of oil exploration.

Some of the members of the forum Vanguard learnt said the meeting might be the last they will attend if the government was not serious in addressing the contentious issues.

Some were also heard complaining that the roads in Abuja which were constructed with the oil money were in perfect order while roads in the zone that produces the oil was in dilapidated state.
