ASABA—Former member of Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Abel Oshevire, has threatened to drag All Progressives Congress, APC, to court should the party leadership include his name in their membership list again.
Reacting to an advertorial in the newspapers by the APC where his name was included on their membership list, Oshevire said he is a proud and loyal member of the People’s Democractic Party, PDP.

Describing the inclusion of his name as scandalous, he said the APC in Delta State exhibited recklessness in alluding to him as a member of the party as contained in the said advertorial published on Tuesday.
He said: “For emphasis, I hereby state that I remain a proud member of the PDP, a party which provided me with the platform to become whatever I am today, politically. I consider the action of the APC in listing me among its members without my consent as evil, wicked and diabolical.
“I have never applied nor sought to be a member of the APC. I am tempted to believe that the APC in Delta State is desperately and fraudulently listing names of people not associated with the party as members to deceive the public and give the impression of having some ‘big names’ in its fold.
“I wish to advise the APC to desist from such unholy act. It will be counter-productive because Deltans cannot be deceived by such antics to vote for them in the state. I am confident that Delta State will remain a PDP state for as long as democracy lasts in Nigeria.
“I hereby, warn the leadership of the APC in Delta State that any such reckless and provocative act from them again will receive appropriate counter measure.”
