At the 2017 ICT conclave which recently held at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos; youths were admonished by various speakers on the need to acquire 21st century skills in ICT so as to be competitive with their counterparts from other climes.
In his keynote address, Mr. Adedokun Oduyemi, Chief Executive Officer, Forte Soft Systems Limited, advised youths to be aware that technology is the key to future economic prosperity and that for them to be part of that future; they must arm themselves with relevant 21st century skills.
While also speaking at the conclave, Mr. Ramnaryan Banerjee, the country representative of NIIT made reference to the growth and the position India has attained in the ICT sector as a proof that Nigerian youths can and should strive to innovate and lead the African ICT revolution.
The conclave is an annual seminar held to mentor Nigerian youths in the employment and entrepreneurship opportunities available in the ICT sector.
