The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant, Dr Alex Obiogbolu’s guber aspiration and his All Progressives Congress counterpart, Mr Chike Obidigbo, got a boost, yesterday, when they were endorsed by Anambra Unity Forum, ANUF.

The endorsement was contained in a communique issued at the end of their meeting in Awka,Anambra state, by the Forum, which comprises of all professionals, retired civil servants, academicians, politicians from different political parties, business men and women of goodwill residing in Anambra State.

The group resolved that to increase the chances of emergence of candidates from Anambra North, it decided to endorse one person in each of the two major political parties based on assessments of all the aspirants.

It urged all its members to ensure that massive support is given to Dr Alex Obiogbolu of the Peoples Democratic Party and Chief Chike Obidigbo of All Progressives Congress.

According to the communiqué,“the Anambra Unity Forum is of firm belief  that Anambra state has many phenomenally talented people capable of building the state to an enviable modern and technologically developed standard but we must fix a round peg in a round hole to achieve this.”

The group resolved that whoever must aspire to govern Anambra State must be an intelligent, home-based politician who knows the terrain and where the shoe pinches.
