Anambra Poll: Late traditional ruler’s son enters race

THE first son of the immediate past traditional ruler of Awka Etiti, late Igwe Joachin Ojukwu, Prince Angus Chuma Ojukwu, has entered the race for the governorship of Anambra State, under the platform of Mega Progressive Peoples Party, MPPP.

In an exclusive interview with Vanguard, Prince Ojukwu who is also a claimant to the Awka Etiti traditional stool, which he is still contesting in the court, Prince Ojukwu said “my entry into the race for the seat of the Governor of Anambra State is divine. Why I said that my aspiration and entry into the race to become Governor of Anambra State is divine, is because,  our party primaries that will produce the candidate for the party is scheduled to hold on September 2, 2017, but up till now as I speak with you, I am yet to have a challenger. I am the only person in the state who has indicated interest to contest the governorship of the state under the platform of MPPP, nobody is challenging me yet and I believe that nobody will challenge me because of my popularity.”

Prince Ojukwu who was formerly Assistant National Secretary and also South East Zonal Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, said that he will govern the state with 10 point agenda that will dwell on, ensuring adequate security of lives and properties.
