Dennis Tabuko has formerly declared his intention to contest for the chairmanship position of Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with a promise to bring in an all round development that will attract investors to Udu council.
Tabuko, who made the declaration at the PDP Ward 10 Secretariat, Udu, promised to pay regularly party dues in order to fully implement the manifesto of the PDP, which includes an all round development of the economy.
According to him, “As a son of the soil and as a grassroots politician, I know the yearnings, aspirations and challenges facing Udu people. To that extent, I am assuring that I and other PDP stalwarts will sustain the present peace in the council and ensure that the PDP wins all elections in the area in 2019.”
Tabuko, a former President General of Aladja community, said that he will initiate a massive and aggressive revenue drive to ensure that council workers are paid as and when due.
The chairmanship hopeful stressed the need for the Udu people to support Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2019, saying “As you know, Governor Okowa has proven that he is a good manager of human and material resources. We all know what the country is passing through, yet we have a governor who is still executing projects across the state. I know that come 2019, Udu people and Deltans will return him to government house.”
