ASABA—COALITION of State Chairmen of Registered Political Parties in Delta State has told  the state Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Chief Frank Igwebuike, to stop using  IPAC platform for selfish political interests.

Chairman of the coalition, Chief Efe Tobor, who gave the advice in a statement, frowned at an advertorial by Chief Igwebuike,  wherein he used IPAC to eulogise the government of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, adding that “IPAC is a purely advisory body consisting of all registered political parties in Nigeria.”

Noting that Igwebuike in the said advertorial also lambasted the coalition for being critical of the Okowa administration, Tobor reiterated that “The IPAC code of conduct 2013 regulation forbids the use of the council for  partisan activities.”

He alleged that the “Names of political parties in Delta State have been dragged to the mud for recently being compromised in exchange for support,” urging the national leadership of IPAC  “to sanction Igwebuike for this unwholesome act to prevent the name of IPAC from being used to feather the political nests of certain politicians.”

Tobor said that the coalition will continue to constructively  criticise the state government, if the need arises.
