ASABA– Oil-rich Diebiri-Batan community in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, has elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the community for the next two years with Mr. Ambrose Ogulasougha emerging as chairman.

Also elected in the election witnessed by elders and leaders of the community were Chief Joseph Igbelebele, Vice chairman, Mr. Fredrick Amalade, Secretary and Mr. Solomon Duromo, Public Relations Officer.

Mr. Ogulasougha in a statement by the PRO, Solomon Duromo, pledged their readiness to partner government and oil companies operating in the community with the aim of attracting development to his people.

Ogulasougha promised to interface with relevant authorities with a view to taking the community to the next level.

According to him, Diebiri- Batan is playing host to a flow station, 32 oil heads and a lot of pipelines, regretting that the community has nothing to show for it.

He  appealed to operators of oil facilities in the area to impact positively on the community to sustain the peace in the locality.
