PORT HARCOURT – United Action for Democracy, UAD, Friday dared the Executive Director of Integrity Group, Mr. Livingstone Wechie, to name the persons who gave him the alleged forged document against the Minster of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi.

UAD also tasked the Rivers State Government to make public the certified copies of the documents tendered before Justice George Omereli led panel of inquiry on the allegation of corruption against, Amaechi, who is the former governor of the state,

It will be recalled that Wechie had on Tuesday made a shocking revelation that the Omereji panel report that he presented on the floor of the Senate in 2015 against Amaechi was forged.

Speaking in Port Harcourt, the Chairman, UAD, Mr. Romeo Need, described as worrisome the fact that Wechie said the state government gave him the documents, noting that government cannot be held responsible of any criminal charge.

Need called on Wechie and the Rivers State Government to make public the alleged document for public scrutiny and comparison.

He further called on the state government to make available the budget of the state from 2015 till date for public perusal within 72 hours, stressing that the document which contained the financial activities of the state cannot be hidden from the people.

Need said: “To reinforce public confidence the present government should publish all state budgets starting from May 2015 when they took over power till 2017. The UAD will in 72 hours demand for the copies of the state budget.”
