Power Oil has kicked-off the third edition of its annual health awareness walk tagged: “Power Oil WalkHeartOn” at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Despite the heavy downpour that flooded the greater part of Lagos, the event witnessed massive participation, as people came out en masse to join the healthy walk, which started and terminated at the National Stadium in Surulere.

The annual heart health awareness walk strategically designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and remind Nigerians on the benefits of a daily fitness routine, is aimed at encouraging Nigerians to walk at least 30 minutes every day to keep fit and stay healthy.

In her comment during the Walk, Miss. Amisha Chawla, Brand Manager, Power Oil, “We are amazed at the turn out despite the weather situation. It clearly shows that the gospel of fitness/ health consciousness which the brand preaches is fast gaining momentum amongst Nigerians by the day. It really was an energetic walk spiced with some fast paced music to keep the crowd in high spirit throughout the rainy journey”

“Confirming from our registration data base both online and off-line, we recorded up to 2,032 participants in Lagos alone. However, judging from the current scene, it is clear that the head counts surpassed that figure.

”Right now, we are gearing up for Enugu and Port Harcourt already for this Saturday” Chawla said.

Mrs. Omotayo Abiodun, Public Relations Manager, Power Oil, said: “it is obvious that Lagosians had a lot of fun with the brand, while walking for a healthy heart alongside some popular comedians (Funnybone & MC Bonus) and musical artiste (Sound Sultan). The Power Oil WalkHeartOn 3.0 is themed; “Walk for the Heart”.
