GOVERNOR Ifeanyi Okowa
Former Ugborodo Community Trust Vice-Chairman, Mr. Isaac Botosan, has lauded Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for the inauguration of the new Ugborodo Community Management Committee, UCMC, saying that the move will ensure the final resolution of the unending crisis rocking the oil-rich community.
Botosan, who charged the state government to disregard those he termed trouble makers, pointed out that the inauguration of the UCMC was supported by the entire people and leaders of the five kindred communities that make up Ugborodo.
Earlier, Chairman of UCMC, Mr. Austin Oberogbeyi in his remarks, promised not to let the state government down in the discharge of their duties. He also called on the state government to deal with those still bent on fomenting trouble for the new executive.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Festus Ovie Agas, had stated that oil-rich Ugborodo community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of the state, was too vital to the economy of the state and Nigeria as a whole, to be left to wallow in perpetual crisis.
