Kachikwu urges support for Emerhor

UGHELLI— Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has urged Deltans to support the political aspiration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2015 general elections, Olorogun O’tega Emeror, describing him as a “man that can be trusted.”

Dr. Kachikwu gave the charge at Evwereni, Delta State, during the traditional marriage ceremony of the daughter of Emerhor, Onajite Emerhor to her heartthrob, Ekechi Ogwor.

In his advice to the couple, Kachukwu said: “I wish them the best of a happy married  life. They should not let the name of the family (Emerhor) down because he has built a name for himself over the years and I use this opportunity to urge all Deltans and Nigerians to support Emerhor in his political aspirations because he is a man that Deltans and Nigerians can trust.”

Chieftains of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, such as Senators Peter Nwoboshi and James Manager, Mr Solomon Awhinawhi, former Minister of Niger Delta, Chief Steve Oru, set aside their political differences, as they celebrated with their colleagues from the APC led by the party national chairman, Chief Odigie Oyegun.

Others in attendance include Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, Managing Directors of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Oil and Gas Free Zone  Authority, Nsima Ekere and Umana Okon Umana.
