THE recently concluded Isoko Economic Summit has been described as a first step in a series of activities required to achieve a radical economic and social transformation of the Isoko economy in addressing the developmental vision of the Isoko nation in the next 20 years.

Speaking to Vanguard yesterday, a financial expert and chairman of the summit, Sir Ayodele Othihiwa, explained that the summit was held to provide answers on what the Isoko nation would be like in the next 20 years in trems of educational infrastructural needs, the projected population base as well as the housing and rural renewal programme.

He said: “The end game of the summit, I believe, is the articulation and development of an Economic Development and Strategy Action Plan for the Isoko nation. With this initiative, the journey towards the development of a road map for the future of Isoko nation has begun.”
