Last weekend, Nigerian entertainers celebrated Paul Okoye, the CEO of Upfront and Personal at the much anticipated Corporate Elite Concert tagged ‘The Weekend Takeover’, which held at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites.

It was a night of fun, celebration, good music, spiced up with glitz and glamour. The concert which was packaged to celebrate Paul Okoye on his 50th birthday was fun-filled with non-stop musical performances from top Nigerian music acts like 9ice, Sound Sultan, Ric Hassani, Aramide, Skales, Banky W, Jay Martins, Psquare, Angolan singer, Cabo Snoop, and many others.

Gongo Aso crooner, 9ice, set the musical pace for the night. He performed his hit songs to a super excited audience who stole the show from him as their voices echoed above his while they sang along with him word for word. At a point he had to signal the DJ to repeat a particular song to remain on cue.

Accompanied by a guitarist on stage, Sound Sultan got fun lovers dancing ecstatically. While performing, he called a lady to the stage and rocked her for a couple of minutes as the audience watched in admiration. Aramide, maintained the tempo when she delivered beautiful tunes with her acoustic guitar. Banky W’s grand entry stole the hearts of the ladies as the hall thundered with the echo of their voices, screaming in excitement.

In a fashion characteristic of him, he delivered on his craft with the help of his dance crew. Skales, who clocked 26-years old in the early hours of Sunday morning, dedicated his musical performance to the celebrant, Paul Okoye. He expressed profound appreciation to him for supporting his music career.

One of the highlights of the event is unveiling of Tekno, Nigerian singer and music producer as Pepsi Brand Ambassador . He joins Tiwa Savage, Davido, Wizkid and Seyi Shay in the league of Pepsi music brand ambassadors.
