By Etop Ekanem

As part of efforts  to broaden its educational scope and ensuring that Nigerians have access to quality education, Augustine University has earmarked fund  for the commencement of its Faculty of Law edifice.

This was stated during the turning of sod ceremony for Faculty of Law building in the university, at Ilara-Epe, Lagos State.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Steve Afolami, explained that the strategic crux for the university is to afford Nigerians and Africa at large the opportunity to have access to better quality education while having the development of the nation’s educational sector at heart.

He said: “We are committed to the development of Nigerian students by giving them access to better quality education, ensuring a better staff-student relationship and we make sure we develop these children to be good citizens and also yield the desired results for their parents and guardians, thus making the society a better place for us all.”

He thanked the Cardinal and the Proprietor as well as the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos for their unwavering support for the university. He stated that the event marked another point in the march towards success in the University.

“The building of the Faculty of Law is to broaden our education landscape as the institution is currently running 13 academic courses including mathematics and biological sciences. In no distant time, we roll out entries to the faculty.
