Sports meet academics at Rolex Children School/Highstone College inter-house sports

Students took the competition from academics to the tracks at Rolex Children School/ Highstone College biennial inter-house sports festival that held on Thursday, 9th March 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic church field.

The sports festival which was a combination of both the primary and secondary section saw students participate in activities ranging from Chess, Scrabble, Ludo and the usual track and field events that made up inter-house sports competitions.

At the conclusion of all events, Green House came first in the primary section with 13 Gold, 18 Silver and 7 Bronze medals; Red House came second with 10 Gold, 11 Silver and 10 Bronze medals; Yellow House got 7 Gold, 13 Silver and 8 Bronze medals to finish third, while Blue House finished fourth with 6 Gold, 3 Silver and 14 Bronze medals.

For the Secondary, Red came first with 14 Gold, 13 Silver and 4 Bronze medals; Yellow came second with 11 Gold, 3 Silver and 9 Bronze medals; Blue finished third with 9 Gold, 13 Silver and 11 Bronze medals while Green finished last with 8 Gold, 10 Silver and 14 Bronze medals.

The sports festival was a success due to the combined effort of the headmistress, Mrs Chinyelu Onyesoh; Vice principal (Admin), Mrs Nneka Okafor; the sports mistresses Mrs Evelyn Asiakpor and Mrs Edokpolo Tessy and the entire staff.

The proprietors of the school are Mr and Mrs Alexander Omaghomi.
