He assured that President Muhammadu Buhari would adequately reimburse the state and every other state in the same category.

“I want to commend the state government on the quality of roads constructed so far; plans are on the way to refund the money used in constructing Federal roads to state governments, ” he said.

Fashola urged the governor to take ownership of the Federal roads constructed or rehabilitated, saying that it would not affect the repayment plan of the Federal government to the state.

Speaking on housing sector, Fashola disclosed that his ministry has started the construction of Federal Housing units along Ajebo road in Abeokuta while another at the media village was on-going.

Newsmen report that the minister was on a two-day inspection and assessment tour of the federal roads, power plant and the ongoing housing project of the Federal Government in the state.

Amosun, who took the Federal delegation round the state, thanked the Federal government for ‘working its talk’ especially as regards the ongoing construction of the Lagos – Ibadan expressway.

He called on the Federal Government to intervene on some Federal roads that needed urgent attention in the state which included Papalantoro – Ilaro road, Lafenwa – Ayetoro road, and Lagos – Abeokuta old road.
