Delta State Government has been urged to implement the report of the Prof. Abednego Ikoko panel of enquiry which recommended for demarcation of the already acquired 289 hectares of land between Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja communities in Warri South-West and Udu Local Government Areas of the state.

Giving the charge, yesterday, national coordinator, Concerned Members for Peace in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Friday Denighan, explained that the demarcation would help in halting future crisis between both communities.

According to him: “Despite the fact of Warri South- West being the local government area where the state deputy governor, Kingsley Otuaro, hails from, the people of the area have been cut off from the national grid while staff, including health workers, of the council do not have access to the area as the only road leading to Ogbe-Ijoh has been cordoned off as a result of the crisis between both communities.”

“Our votes to the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration were enmasse. I wonder why the government has been silent about our ordeal as we are being treated like foreigners in our own state.”
