The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) on Tuesday said it would open camping on March 26, for eight beach volleyball players ahead of the Africa Beach Nations Cup scheduled to hold in Egypt.

Maikano Adamu, the Secretary-General of the federation made this known in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.
According to Adamu, the Africa Beach Nation’s Cup is a qualifier for the 2017 Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Beach Volleyball U-21 World Championships.

He said that the competition would hold from March 30 to April 3, adding that eight players had been invited to camp ahead of the competition.
“The eight players comprised four male and four female players. Of these eight players, only four will qualify for the competition.
“Two players will be selected from each of the male and female teams; this will leave us with four players from both teams to represent Nigeria in Egypt,” he said.

Adamu said that the players would depart Abuja on March 29 to Egypt for the nation’s cup.
