OLEH—NO fewer than three workers of a multinational oil firm, weekend, lost their lives after two boats belonging to the company collided between the Bomadi/Kpakiama axis of River Forcados, Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State.

Though the details of the incident were sketchy at press time, sources said the collision occurred Friday night.

A source in the area disclosed that one of the speedboats was on its way from Bomadi, where it had gone to drop some of the company’s personnel, while the other was conveying two escorts from the opposite direction.

He said the two escorts and one of the speedboat drivers were killed in the incident. He added that the bodies had not been recovered and that local divers were still searching for them.
