Lagos—Magistrate Oluwafunke Sule-Hamzat of an Ogudu magistrate’s court, Lagos, has remanded three men in Ikoyi Prisons custody for allegedly assaulting staff of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, while they were performing their official duties.

The defendants are Godfrey Endurance, 22; Ihonre Samson, 32, and Ayodeji Adeoye, 30, all residents of Onakoya Street, Mende, Maryland, Lagos.


The trio were remanded in prison pending when they are able to perfect their bail conditions.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Ihiehie Lucky, had told the court that the defendants committed the alleged offence on March 13, at Otunba Onakoya Street, Mende.

However, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against them and the magistrate, granted them N20,000 bail each, with one surety, each, in like sum; the case was adjourned to April 24.
