OLEH—JAMES Welch Grammar School Emevor Old Boys Association has re-elected Justice Jonathan Shakarho (retd) as President, Worldwide, of the association.

It also presented Diamond Awards to Chief Godwin Uweru, Engr  Patani Esugo and post-humously to late Engr. Frank Egbowawa, in appreciation of their contributions to the development of the school.

Shakarho was returned unopposed alongside members of his executive at the Annual General Meeting of the association/diamond jubilee celebration of the school, following a motion moved and seconded by former President of the association, Chief Joe Idudu and Olorogun Edoreh Agbah respectively.

Idudu said that members of the executive performed reasonably well within the two years they had served and deserved to be re-elected.

On his part, Shakarho thanked the association for the confidence reposed on them to serve and pledged that they would work harder.

He said, “Over the years, the old boys have been able to make impact in the academic advancement, physical development and spiritual upbringing of the school.

“We have striven dutifully to be in the forefront of efforts to revitalize our great school by deliberately articulating and implementing self help activities geared towards restoring our alma-mata to its former glory.”
