21-year-old former Miss Nigeria International 2015, Mercy Atang is poised to launch her career on the world stage as she represents the country in the forthcoming Miss International World Contest, in Miami, the United States of America.

The glamorous event which is billed to hold on the 26th of February, will mark a turning point in the life of this fair-complexion beauty, who is optimistic that she will bring the crown home.

Mercy said, she’s hitting the international runway to boost the image of the country as well as to encourage young girls never to give up on their dreams, no matter the challenges they are facing. An undergraduate of Business Administration, University of Nnamadi Azikiwe, Mercy is striving to carve a niche for herself in the pageant world.

According to her, she ventured into pageantry because while in school she got hypnotized by school beauty queens and so she was inspired to be part of it and today she is happy because she is living her dream. Every venture in life comes with its own challenge, her own case wasn’t different but then she surmounted them to be where she is today. With her charming smile and exotic look, Mercy is set to conquer the world. Her manager, actress Chinwe Isaac, who is already in America ahead of the grand finale, is hopeful that the Akwa-Ibom- born beauty queen will make the country at the event, which will also have beauty queens from across the world battling for the crown.
