Ahmadiyya holds Quran recitation competition in honour of ex-leader

A QURAN recitation  competition  in honour of the former  President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim jamaat Nigeria, Late Alhaji Abdul Azeez Abiola will hold on Sunday, February 26 at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat’s mosque, Ota Housing Estate, Ogun State.

The annual évent is 4th in the series to remember the unique and  mémorable contributions of Late Alhaji Abiola to the growth of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria and West Africa as a whole .

Among the achievements recorded by Late Abiola was the acquisition of vast land for Ahmadiyya Missionary Training Institution,  the establishments  of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community,  in Ilaro and Ota, Ogun state among others.

According to the Centenary History of Ahmadiyya  in Nigeria and its expansion to the West African states of Benin Republic and the Gambia , Late Alhaji Abiola was a successful business tycoon,

who combined business  and  missionary activities together and introduced Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to the Gambia in West Africa.
Eminent personalities in Islam will grace the occasion.
