In its effort to reposition Resort Savings & Loans Plc, the Board of Directors of the primary mortgage bank (PMI), has appointed Barrister J. O. J. Chukwuocha as its new Chairman, following the resignation of the former Chairman, Chief Babatunde Adefarati from the Board.
Rising from its 90th board meeting at its corporate head office in Ikeja last week, the Board also confirmed the appointment of Mr. Ola Oyinloye, as its substantive Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
According to a statement from the mortgage bank made available to Vanguard Homes & Property, until his elevation to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Barrister Chukwuocha had been a director of the bank since 2012.
The statement noted that Chukwuocha is an astute business man and a lawyer by profession, adding that his appointment is expected to bring his wealth of experience as a successful businessman to reposition the bank in its ongoing restructuring exercise.
The statement further stated that the board wishes to assure its numerous customers and other stakeholders that the bank has been further strengthened than ever before to ensure that it sustains its high quality services in providing mortgage facility to Nigerians while supporting the policies of the federal government to make affordable housing possible to Nigerians, pointing out that the Company Secretary has been mandated to notify all Regulatory Authorities of the board’s decision.
